We haven't done much posting lately as we’ve had a pretty full schedule.
Paul had several procedures done over the past two weeks (bone marrow biopsy, echocardiogram, pulmonary function test, PET scan, and various blood and other lab tests) in preparation for his bone marrow harvesting at Stanford later this month. That will happen over several days. We’re planning to stay near Stanford so we don’t have to go back and forth for what is often a 2 hour trip each way.
Tim has been feeling fairly sick most of the time even though he’s been off chemo for over four weeks. He was hoping that stopping chemo would allow him to feel better. So far, not so. Tim meets with his Oncologist today to discuss options including qualifying for a new drug trial.
Paul’s almost 97 year old dad Mike has been visiting for the past week and a half. It was good for him and good for us to have something else going on besides tests and trips to Kaiser.
*The above photo of Sierra Primrose (Primula suffrutescens) is from Carson Pass in the Sierra Nevada. This was one of our photos that appeared in the Winter 2017 issue of Pacific Horticulture. The journal showcased our native plant database of over 60,000 photos. If you're interested in seeing our database, go to http://www.total-plant.org
